Please be advised that the Nova Scotia Department of Environment prohibits disposal of the following wastes at any landfill site.

NON-ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS

Car batteries / Electronics / PCB material / Motor oil / Antifreeze or other liquids / Tires / Propane tanks / Biomedical waste and Recyclable materials such as cardboard / Plastic containers / and Green cart material.

NOTE: The above items CAN be disposed of at your local Valley Waste Management Centre.

ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS

Toys / Dry paint cans / Clothing / Building materials / Furniture / Seasonal decorations / Mattresses / Metals, i.e. Car parts, and Fridges.

** Metals will be recycled and a $20.00 CFC removal charge added to all refrigeration units unless already completed **
